Tin Wing Stop

Tin Wing Stop first opened in 1995 with "Tin Shui Wai Terminus" as the original name, as it is the only terminus in Tin Shui Wai back then. This is a turn-back station with 4 tracks. Route 720 and 721 terminate at here. When the commuter line West Rail and new LRT section in Tin Shui Wai opened in 2003, "Tin Shui Wai Terminus" was changed to just "Tin Wing". As there is a new "Tin Shui Wai" station which is an interchange station for West Rail and LRT. Tin Wing Stop also got two new platforms, platform 1 and platform 6. Platform 1 is for north bound trains to turn back and platform 6 is for south bound trains. Also, route 720 and 721 was replaced by 751 and 761. There are also route 701 which stops at this stop. The station has also lost its terminal usage. Now, the routes which stop at this stop are route 705, 706 and 751. In mid-2015, MTR confirmed that there will be a new property above this station. A new platform (platform 7) was built to take over north bound trains service. The original unused platform will be demolished for the property. The photos below show the station construction from 2015/05/26 to now. The construction includes the temporary platform, the tracks connects to the temporary platform and new rail crossings. All photos are arranged from left to right and top to bottom by date. The oldest one is the first photo and the newest is the last. The construction was suspended now due to a platform of Tin Wing stop had sunk in July, 2018.
